YouTube is one of the leading platforms in Spain when it comes to consuming videos on the internet. For some time, the Google application has been expanding its user experience by adding functions from other applications, such as Stories or some Twitch features. Some time ago they announced Shorts to compete against TikTok, a function that we have not known much more about until now, and it is that Google is finally beginning to deploy it.
YouTube already has its TikTok
TikTok is one of the applications of the moment, and it is no wonder. One of its virtues lies in the facility to record yourself for a few seconds, add the music you like and publish it so that anyone can see it easily. Being short videos they are easy to create and dozens of easier to consume, a vein that YouTube does not want to ignore.

To do this, they have added a new button that appears under the music videos called asCreate. After pressing the button, a camera interface appears that allows us to record a 15-second video or upload our videos. After taking your best shot, you can choose a strip of the music video you were watching (or perform a search) so that it is the one that ends up giving life to your work. Before uploading it, YouTube reminds us that we can use this service only for personal use for the license use to which the feature is subject.
At this time, the new YouTube feature is only available in India and does not work with any video on the platform due to copyright restrictions. At the moment, we do not know the date of arrival of this function in Spain and the rest of the countries, but more than a technological restriction, it seems that its deployment will be more or less accelerated depending on the legal restrictions.
