Basically third-party applications will no longer have many of the limitations that made it become so backward with respect to the official client, such as threads, conversations, surveys, tweets posted, or spam filters, among many other features that will be detailed in the future.
Twitter has not detailed even if limits as the users will still be there, or if the third-party applications will be able to not only deploy their full potential, but to reach many more people.
