The Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) brought the arrival of the four sensors in the cameras rear of the mobile, something that then imitarían the rest of manufacturers. It was submitted in October 2018 and it went on sale in November with Android 8.0 as the operating system. However, a few months later, in march of 2019, gave the welcome Android 9 Foot and now, just when it meets a year of that update, it has begun to receive Android 10.
This update comes a few weeks after Samsung, according to the roadmap established, it will begin to deploy the update to Android 10 for the Galaxy A6 (2018). And both in this case as in that of the Galaxy A9 (2018), comes from the hand of the next generation of the personalization layer manufacturer: Samsung One UI 2.0.
According to reports the middle spatialized SamMobile, update Android 10 for Galaxy A9 (2018) it is already available via OTA in Polandbut you will soon begin to reach out to other regions. Such an update corresponds with the version of software A920FXXU3CTCD and comes with the security patch of march 2020.
Although there are no known time changes complete that brings this new software, do know, that includes, as expected, all the improvements and new features of Android 10 (the dark mode native in the whole system, new navigation gestures, improvements in privacy and security…), along with the characteristics of Samsung One UI 2.0.
This is the second and last major system update for this phone, although it will continue to receive security patches every three months for at least another year. Keep in mind however, that even if you have a Galaxy A9 (2018), it is possible that you still have to wait a few days to see the update notification on your device.
When that happens, as we always say when it comes to a system upgrade, we recommend download it over a WiFi connection so as not to punish unnecessarily your data rate. In any case, you can always comprabar manually if you have available the new firmware going into Settings > software Update.
