Within the Play Store we find the section Categoriesthat allows you to divide the available apps in the same categories. It is a section of utility to find apps or games easily, though many users in Spain just make use of the same. For this reason, Google has proposed to renew this section, for ease of use and so help more users use it.
The new design of the Categories section in the Google Play Store is a reality and is already beginning to show. This is not a change of radical design, but that are a few subtle changes, but intended for the use of this section in the store is more convenient for all users.

The Play Store renews the categories section
This new section of categories in the Play Store has a different design, something more clean. The names of the various categories have been separated a little more to each other, allowing that they may be read with greater comfort, plus make it easier to click on a particular category. This already allows to make it look better than before.
In addition, we have also renewed the icons for the various categories. The previous icons with a circle around it have been removed and Google’s introduces a few new icons, more modern. There is also a few icons that allow you to better recognize the category, representing the category in a more accurate way. So many times you will not need to read the category to know what it is, thanks to these icons.
This new design of the section of Categories in the Google Play Store, it looks just as well in clear as in dark mode, available for months on the app on the Android. In addition to this section, also the section of Family in the app store gets a facelift in this new version. We introduce a design like the Categories section, with similar icons, too.
This new design in the Play Store has begun its deployment alreadyalthough for the moment only a few users have access to the same. It is expected that it is going to be deployed shortly to the users in Android, but we don’t know when will this be, for the moment seems not to be available in Spain.
The entrance to The Play Store is renewed: so that will be the new section of Categories appears first in Android Free.
