The new interface of the Amazon Fire Stick reminds the Chromecast

One of the main complaints from users in Spain with Amazon Fire is your interface, which is unintuitive compared to other options like Android TV or Roku TV. Luckily, Amazon is preparing to introduce changes to it, as they are beginning to roll out an update for the Amazon Fire Stick.

In this update for the Amazon Fire Stick we can see a major change in the appearance of its interface. With this new design, the interface is remarkably reminiscent of Chromecast, making it easier to use for those users with one of these models.

New interface for Amazon Fire Stick

The update that the firm is deploying is intended for the Amazon Fire TV Stick (3rd generation) and for the Fire TV Stick Lite, its most recent model that we could already analyze. This new version modifies the way in which the contents are displayed and how to navigate between them. The first thing to do when entering is to choose the profile or person who is going to see content, since based on this, certain content will be displayed, based on that profile.

On the home page you can see a different design and in it we find recommended contents depending on than we have seen recently. We also have the search section, so that we can find content and the Live section, to see content that is available live at that time. The possibility of opening a specific app remains in this new interface.

A design reminiscent of Chromecast, but that allows users with any of these Amazon Fire Stick a simpler navigation, as well as being able to find content of interest more quickly at all times. All this contributes to a better user experience.

As we have mentioned, the Fire TV Stick (third generation) and the Fire TV Stick are the first to get this new interface, which will arrive over the next few weeks for all users. Amazon is expected to release it for the Fire TV Cube as well, though when this will happen is unknown.
