The Huawei P50 would be the first phones with Harmony OS as standard

Huawei launched the new Harmony OS beta yesterday, which reached the first mobile phones and tablets of the manufacturer. It is expected that models in Spain will also have access to it, helping to advance this brand’s operating system. The next high-end of the brand, the Huawei P50 family, could have this operating system.

The brand has made it clear on more than one occasion your plans to use Harmony OS on your phones, due to the veto of the United States. It is expected that mobiles that use EMUI 11 will be able to update to this operating system. The Huawei P50s would be the first to use this system as standard.

There has been talk for a long time about Huawei phones that could use their own operating system as standard, although there has been no launch in this field so far. According to a Chinese website, this could change in early 2021 with the official launch of the Huawei P50. These phones would be the first to use Harmony OS as standard.

Not known If it would be only the Huawei P50 that are launched in China or if also those that are put on sale in Spain would use the brand’s own operating system. The brand seems to have this system ready, which being open source could become a huge rival to Android in the market, and that they would seek more brands to use.

At the moment the brand does not confirm anything about the use of this operating system in its next high-end. After the launch of the beta yesterday for its first phones, such as the Huawei P40, or the entire range of the Mate 30, the next step would be a range of phones that already uses it natively.

The Huawei P50 is expected become official in the first quarter of 2021, still no presentation or launch date confirmed. An eagerly awaited release, now that they could be the first Huawei phones with native Harmony OS.
