Board games are having a new youth in recent years, after almost disappearing due to video consoles. One of the best known exponents is Exploding kittens, a game designed by the creator of the popular comic strip The Oatmeal ..
The same team that created that game has launched to develop another title for mobile devices, a mix between Clash Royale and Scrabble, as they say.
Creating words to form an army
The essence of the game is similar to what we have seen in other titles. Use the letters that appear on the screen to obtain words as long as possible. In that it is reminiscent of Scrabble.
The point is that those words will become armies of cats that will serve to achieve the best possible scores. This is done by trying to blow up our opponent’s house before he manages to blow up ours. Here we get closer to Tower Defense-type titles, such as Clash Royale or Plants Vs Zombies.
We can play individually or against other players, who can be our friends or strangers.
The game is free and can be downloaded without paying, although we obviously have in-app purchases. These purchases are power-ups for the game, but are not required to play the game.
On the blog we have a clever way to introduce the title, using a comic strip and explaining how the idea came about.
The entry The creators of Exploding Kittens have a new game on Android: Kitty Letter appears first in The Free Android.
