Asus is a brand that in recent months has surprised us a lot in Spain. Although at some point the company seemed to be adrift, its focus on the high-end and adapting its software to a much cleaner version of Android has been very interesting to us.

Asus updates the Zenfone 6 to Android 11
What was one of the best Asus phones last year is beginning to receive the latest version of Android after several months in beta. The update has been officially confirmed by Asus and these are the changes it includes:

- System update to Android 11.
- Make a copy of your data before updating, and if you want to go back to Android 10 you can do it with an official package, but you will lose all data.
- Some third-party apps are not yet compatible with Android 11.
- Removed private listening and ZenUI Help in one-handed mode.
- The power button functions are built into the battery settings.
- Avast’s scan engine has been removed.
- The desktop misses out on options like smart sorting, icon alignment, and more.
- New ZenUI interface design.
- Adjusted quick setting panel and multimedia controls support. Removed multi-window settings and proximity sharing (can be added again manually).
- Automatic download in Wi-Fi mode for system updates is enabled by default.
- Third party home screens now support full screen gestures.
The update is beginning to roll out in Taiwan, where Asus hails from. It is to be hoped that as the days or weeks pass we will see this update reach Spain and the rest of the world.
