New OPPO A93 5G: the 5G reaches the most economical range

OPPO is one of the brands that grew the most in Spain throughout 2020, something they seek to maintain this year. The manufacturer leaves us with its first phone of this year, OPPO A93 5G. This model is within the manufacturer’s entry range, but stands out for already having 5G connectivity as standard.

The OPPO A93 5G makes use of Snapdragon 480, the Qualcomm chip that brings 5G to the most modest range. This processor was shown already this week when the phone’s specifications were leaked. Now, this model has been officially presented in China.

Modest but with 5G

The OPPO A93 5G becomes the next phone of the manufacturer within this range to have 5G, after the A53 5G presented at the end of 2020. In this case, Snapdragon 480 has been used as a processor, the chip with which Qualcomm brings 5G to the cheapest range on Android. This chip is accompanied by two combinations of RAM and storage.

The phone screen has a size of 6.5 inches and a resolution Full HD +. An IPS LCD panel has been used with a hole in it, where we find the 8 Mpx front camera of the same. On the back we have three cameras: a 48 Mpx main sensor, a 2 Mpx macro sensor and a 2 Mpx depth sensor.

The battery of this OPPO A93 5G has a capacity of 5,000 mAh, which promises a good autonomy for the phone.

The battery also has support for 18W fast charging. The fingerprint sensor is located on one of the sides, something common in this family of phones. Android 11 with Color OS 11 is the standard operating system on the device.

Price and availability

This new OPPO A93 5G has already been made official in China, where you can buy now. There is no data at the moment on the possible international launch of this device, but we hope to know soon if it will be launched or not in Spain. It can be purchased in Elegant Silver, Aurora and Dazzle Black colors.

The phone comes in two versions of RAM and storage, with the version with 8/256 GB priced at 1,999 yuan, about 255 euros to change.The price of the 8/128 GB version of the phone is unknown.
