Netflix for Android will have a timer in case you fall asleep 1

Surely more than once you have fallen asleep watching a movie or series on Netflix. This is something common especially if we use the application on mobile phones.

Today Netflix has announced the test of a new function that will help us avoid missing a lot of content, a timer.

Netflix begins testing a programmable timer

The new function will appear on the interface in the profiles of some users, although at the moment it is not something that is going to be launched massively. Following these steps we can decide at what moment the playback will stop:

  • Start playing any Netflix content.
  • In the upper right corner, a clock icon called Timer will appear.
  • Click on it.
  • Select 15, 30, 45 minutes or “Finish”.

This function is also useful when we leave the mobile phone or put the TV on a minor, who we do not want to spend many hours in front of the screen.

And yes, we say TV because it has not been specified that this function will not reach the Android TV version of Netflix, which is the one used by brands such as Phillips, Xiaomi, Sony or TCL.

The Netflix entry for Android will have a timer in case you fall asleep appears first in The Free Android.
