The ability to unmute someone on Instagram is possible, although it is somewhat hidden, so that not all users know the steps they have to follow to do so. As it happens when we silence someone, this person will not know anything, since the social network will not issue a notification at any time, so you can do this without any worries. The steps to follow in this case are:

Open Instagram on your phone.
Go to the profile of the person you silenced.
Click on Following.
In the menu that appears on the screen, enter the Mute option.
If any of the options are enabled, turn off the switch.

If you have silenced this account in the past, you will see that either their stories or their publications are muted, indicated with the switch activated. When you deactivate this switch, you will see the posts or stories of this account in your feed on the social network, as before. No notifications will be issued about this action, so the other person will not know that you have ended said silence.

It is possible that after removing the silence from that account, the story does not appear yet in the feed on the home page.In this case, go to this person’s profile and hold down on the profile photo, where you can see the stories as well. A menu will then appear where we will have the option «Remove silence».
