Like many other applications on Android, Instagram also has its own messaging service, which has been merged with Messenger in Spain. Hide your status on Instagram

The power to hide your status is a function that was present in the application from the beginning, although the way in which it is possible to do this has been changing. This causes that there are some users who do not know the steps to follow now to be able to hide their status in the messages of the application. The steps we have to follow are:

Open Instagram on Android.
Tap on your profile picture.
Click on the three stripes in the upper right.
Go into Settings.
Go to Privacy.
Look for the option called Activity Status.
Enters.
Turn off the switch next to the Show activity status option.

Once the connection status is deactivated, when you enter the Instagram messages no one will be able to see if at that moment you are connected or not. This status is hidden from all contacts within your network and if you have a public account on the social network, anyone who is going to send you a message or has done so, will not be able to see your connection status at any time.

If at any point you change your mind and you want your status to be visible again, you will have to perform the same steps that we have shown, only now you will have to activate the switch. This way you will show your activity status in the application again.
