How to install GravityBox on your Android

There are many options to make this module work, although you essentially need Magisk v17 or higher, EdXposed and EdXposed Installer. Like the previous versions, it is intended for systems with a pure Android version or as close as possible to pure Android, and can cause problems with layers of customization like TouchWiz / One UI, HTC Sense, MIUI, Xperia, etc.

To get started, it is a good idea to enable »Unknown sources» on your device to allow the installation of third-party applications. To do this, open the Terminal Settings and go to the option “Security”. Once there, enable the switch next to “Unknown sources”. If you already had it activated before because you have installed other external files, obviously you can skip those instructions and pay attention to the following:

  • Download the file GravityBox APK for Android from here and install it. Keep in mind to install the Xposed Installer or the Magisk app before.
  • Once you have installed the app, you will receive a notification from the Xposed installer that “The Xposed module is not activated yet.” Just tap on that to head over to the Xposed modules section, and check the checkbox next to GravityBox . Once you have done that, restart your device to activate GravityBox.
  • Once your device has rebooted, open the GravityBox app and grant the necessary permissions to ensure correct operation of the module. You will also get a warning notice, which says that GravityBox should be used only on unmodified Android devices. Just tap on “Ok I have it” to continue.
