The Huawei Mate X2 will have HarmonyOS in April
This new Huawei Mate X2 arrives with EMUI 11 as an operating system, based on Android AOSP. As is usual in the brand’s mobiles, it does not have Google services or applications. At the end of the presentation of this new folding, it was confirmed that HarmonyOS would launch in April for flagships of the Chinese brand, this model being the first to have access.
The first beta was launched in December last year for high-end models of the brand, like the Huawei P40, P40 Pro, Mate 30, Mate 30 Pro and MatePad Pro. It was in this beta where you could see the resemblance it has with Android 10, something that generated a lot of criticism for the company. Although it is expected that the final version will have a different interface than Android 10.
This spring The Huawei P50 should also be presented, and for weeks it has been rumored that they would be the first phones with HarmonyOS as standard. Although so far the brand has not talked about phones that will have the operating system as standard, but it is revealed which will be the first to update to it.
In a couple of months HarmonyOS is coming to the Huawei Mate X2, before more phones of the brand have access to this update. It will be necessary to see if this operating system manages to advance in the market as the brand expects, which aims really high for this 2021.
