In this new version of Google Home we find a redesign of the multimedia controls. Instead of the classic carousel that was in the application until now, a new format is now introduced in the form of a list. By clicking on them, you will be able to control the volume of each device directly. Additionally, users are given the ability to create their own speaker groups directly from the playback menu.
The routines are present again in version 2.3.1 of the application, with new features. A new play button is introduced in it and in addition, it will now be possible to select where we want a specific routine to start, that is, you will be able to choose the device where we want it to be played. It makes the process of choosing a device much faster.
In addition, in the WiFi settings in Google Home we find a new option called Preferred activities (Preferred or favorite activities) where Stadia is introduced, under the Gaming option. The fact that it is a menu suggests that Google could add more device prioritization options in the future.
