The first Android 12 Developer Preview should arrive sometime this February, and Google already began to prepare the ground. After several leaks through the AOSP code, we now have the biggest leak yet: the radical change in the interface that would come with Android 12.

In screenshots obtained by XDA and a supposed official Google document, several of the features that could come with Android 12 are detailed.

Privacy indicators to iOS 14

In the screenshots of the document obtained by XDA, we have detailed views of what could be a good part of Android 12 interface. It should be emphasized that it is not clear if they are sketches or real captures.

Beyond the muted and predominantly brown color tones that, according to a previous leak, could be more customizable than in previous versions, we have a design with larger items with more spacing between them, alternation between circular and square elements with rounded edges.

{“file”: “https://webediaespana.video.content-hub.app/default/video/21/16/c3/5f58e1cb3bef07e66e/default-standard-720.mp4”, “image”: “https: // webediaespana.delivery.content-hub.app/image/4a/8f/72/5f58e34d4bd22f8eaa/original/mini-android-11.jpeg “}

For example, the notification panel shows four quick settings, the active one with a circular design and the rest with a square shape. Below, the notification panel maintains the separations into categories between conversations and the rest, although with the novelty of including privacy guidelines, both in the notification of a chat app and in the status bar.

Notifications

Google liked the privacy indicators from iOS 14, and apparently it will include something similar in Android 12. It will not only be which apps use the camera or microphoneInstead, by touching this indicator, you will be able to access options to disable the camera, microphone, or location with one touch.

Conversation widget

On the home screen, we don’t see many changes from previous versions, with a dock with four icons and the use of the same color scheme as the other screenshots. The most relevant is the conversations widget, which could combine in a widget everything that has happened in all the applications you have installed on your mobile.

For example, in the screenshot we see indications of Contacts, chats and missed calls in Messenger. All the widgets shown in the example are from Messenger, although it would be expected that it works for all the apps that use the Conversations API introduced in Android 11.

Widgets

Once again, we have oval shaped widgets and very pronounced curves and others that are rather square with rounded shapes. A bit confusing in my opinion, although it will be necessary to see if this is the final aspect or not.

It will be necessary to see in what is the thing. The color theme used in the captures is somewhat peculiar as to be included by default for all users, so that most likely it is just an example of what can be achieved with the -suppose- theme system which would also be included in Android 12.
