This week we received in Spain the firstDeveloper PreviewAndroid 12, a version in development that should arrive in stable form by the end of summer to Pixel devices and shortly after to the rest of Android phones that are compatible.
Although we have already begun to know the first brushstrokes of this version in our tests, there is still much to reveal in functions that are not yet present or that are still in development, such as a new customization engine.

Android 12 hides a dynamic theme that changes the system color
Although we have already begun to test some of the novelties of Android 12, there are some features that are not yet implemented in this firstDeveloper Preview. Among these features there is an advanced customization engine, which has been unveiled by kdrag0n, a developer known for the ProtonAOSP ROM on Pixel mobiles.

This developer has found in the code a feature that changes the color theme of the system dynamically. To do so, take into accountthe color theme of the wallpaper. Depending on the wallpaper we choose, this feature analyzes the wallpaper to choose the predominant colors of the wallpaper and change the color of the system menus.
The operation of this feature is similar to Theme Park, Samsung’s Good Lock module that allows us to create a color theme for the system based on our wallpaper, a feature that is one of my personal favorites from One UI.
Will this design feature arrive with Android 12? Despite the fact that being in the Android code itself, we might think so, this type of customization features sometimes take time to officially reach most mobiles, since radical design changes usually haveglitches, and Google prefers to roll them out to everyone when they work properly, so it may not end up being ready for the final release.
