Zepp E review: an exquisitely designed smartwatch

One of the accessories that has increased its popularity the most in Spain are smart watches and bracelets. Unlike in other countries such as the United States, as the iPhone does not have a massive market share, many brands have been able to gain a foothold.

One of the last to arrive has been Zepp, a company that brings us a proposal very focused on design, and this must be made clear. The watches from this company are not intended for those who want something basic and cheap.

Quite the contrary, Zepp E They are watches with a very high build quality, and it shows when wearing them and also when wearing them.

Two designs, one watch

The first thing to say, because it is not common, is that we can buy this watch with a square dial but also with a circular dial. Both share specifications and price and the company is grateful for this option. Here I have already begun to see that the company is going to give great importance to aesthetics.

This is also observed in the high-quality finishes of the Zepp E, with a perimeter metal with a dark tone that perfectly camouflages the screen. The glass of it curves on all four sides, making the use of gestures very comfortable.

The good workmanship in the materials on the strap is also appreciated, an element that sometimes goes unnoticed. In this case we have a black Milanese strap, which can be easily changed for another.

The watch is very light and despite the materials used it has not bothered us in the hand.

The only button we have is on the right side, and it allows us to turn on the screen or, if we leave it pressed, open one of its functions. And the latter is configurable.

Basic functions, no apps

Although the price of this watch is not very low, it is not one of the most expensive that we have seen. Even so, it must be made clear that this device is not a direct rival of Samsung or Apple watches since it does not have applications available.

At the level of use, it is more similar to a Huawei or Xiaomi watch or a smart bracelet. To get the most out of it, we have to install the Zepp app, previously called Amazfit.

We have detection of 11 sport modes and measurement of:

  • Dream.
  • Heartbeat.
  • Oxygen saturation.

To that we have to add the weather forecast, the notification of notifications and calls or the music control. And by the way, the oxygen saturation measurement has failed far fewer times than in other similar devices.

The only thing we miss is the ability to speak on the watch through a microphone and a speaker, like other models that cost more or less the same, such as the Huawei Watch GT 2.

An autonomy that is better than advertised

When you dedicate yourself to approving different technological devices, it is very normal that their autonomy never coincides with what the manufacturer says. What is not normal is that you do not do it because it is superior to the one promoted.

This is what happened to me with the Zepp E, which promises about 7 days of autonomy when we use it with all its functions. I have come to touch the 10 days, although it is true that we can reach 15 if we use it as a clock by cutting off communication with the phone.

Shining in design

This brand has come to market with a very niche but tremendously clear product focus. These watches are designed for those who, by function, are looking for a smart bracelet, but need something more elegant.

The Zepp E are watches that cost little money but right now there are few options that stand out both in materials and finishes and that provide an autonomy that is measured in days, not hours.

The official price is 249 euros but we can find it on sale on Amazon sometimes for about 170 euros.

The entry Analysis Zepp E: an exquisitely designed smartwatch appears first in The Free Android.
