Since Google Play Music was replaced by YouTube Music, many have complained that the free version did not allow us to send music uploaded by us to the smart speakers. That has changed, and yes, we have tested it from Spain and it works.
Youtube Music now allows you to send your own music to the speakers
Until now, Google had not given permission to users of the free version of Youtube Music to use what was surely the best function of the paid version, being able to send the music that we had uploaded to their servers to our smart speakers.
Google allowed us to send the music that was played in streaming, and also the one we had stored on our mobile, but not the one we had in the Google cloud, the one we transferred from Google Play Music.
We have been able to verify that it is already possible. To do this we have to open a song, click on the cover of it and click again on the Chromecast icon that appears in the upper right corner of it.
When the song is over, it will go directly to the next one, not having to do it with each of them, as is logical.
World trends arrive
Another novelty is the inclusion of world music trends in the application. We will have lists for artists, songs and videos from no less than 57 countries.
These changes are in addition to the one we told yesterday that brought us the possibility of using our personal lists with voice commands in the Google assistant, both on the phone and on devices such as smart screens and speakers.
