Services such as Youtube Music are not particularly well known in Spain, where without a doubt the king of streaming music is Spotify. Part of that fault is that the options available in the Google service are not as extensive as those that the European company has in its app.
For example, even though Youtube Music hit Google Assistant last year, and this summer increased its capabilities, we couldn’t give voice commands to have our custom playlists played around the world. Until now.
After a few weeks of testing it seems that Google has decided to open to all users the possibility of activating the playback of personalized song lists in the Google assistant.
Until now we could only launch the lists that the platform created automatically.
To do this, we must make the request asking to reproduce the name of the list, not being necessary to add the name of the platform as long as we have Youtube Music activated as the default music service on the phone or speaker with which we are interacting.
Despite everything, the expansion of this function from the testing phase to the mass phase is being quite slow and there are still users who do not have it operational. Hopefully in a few days we can use them on all accounts.
The entry The YouTube Music custom lists reach the Google assistant appears first in The Free Android.
