YouTube Music has become the only Google music service in Spain after the closure of Google Play Music, a closure that has been controversial as the application is not at the same level as the previous Google service. But despite being far from being a perfect application, the YouTube team is usually very active when it comes to adding changes and improvements to their music platform.
Some examples we have seen in improvements for free accounts, such as the ability to use your own music offline, play it on Android Auto, use YouTube Music on Google smart speakers or a new design on Android TV. And after all this, there is still work to do.
Although YouTube Music has the option to work only with music, most of the themes come from YouTube, such as video clips. This, which at one time may seem like a great advantage, can become an inconvenience within the music application.
As part of the integrated experience, YouTube Music is able to take the videos that you have liked on YouTube to display and play them in the music application. Although in theory it seems spectacular, in practice it can happen to you as it happens to me, that you may not like a video clip that you like to listen to only the music, or even worse, that it filters some videos that are not musical. It cuts a lot of the vibes to be listening to music and suddenly start listening to a tutorial or a review.
At first I thought I was crazy, but it seems that the problem is more common than it seems, because precisely Google has provided a solution in the latest YouTube Music update.
If you click on the icon of your avatar in the upper right corner and enterSetting, a new option will appear calledShow music you like on YouTube. The default option is enabled (since it is the behavior that YouTube Music had) but at least we already have the option (in my case, obligation) to deactivate it.
The YouTube Music entry begins to separate from YouTube with this new setting appearing first in The Free Android.
