Google Chrome is the most popular browser in Spain, both on PC and Android. Although we have a multitude of alternatives in Android, many of these are based on Chromium, the base and open source version from which Chrome is built.
All the improvements that Chromium receives end up reaching Chrome, but also all the browsers that are based on this project. And in the latest version it seems that a really interesting notification has arrived, which is that ofautomatically block abusive notifications.
Any Chromium-based browser will block abusive notifications automatically
Notifications in the browser are one of the most controversial tools on the web in recent years. Thanks to this functionality, a web page that you allow to send you notifications can inform you when they publish new news or want to inform you of any news on the web.
Although normally the websites make responsible use of this functionality, there are also those that take advantage and begin to send notifications in an abusive way to their users. And although it is possible to withdraw the permissions to these websites, many times the laziness of the day to day makes us leave it for another time. And the reality is that we never end up doing it.
Browsers that are based on Chromium version 86 have the possibility of implementing a system that analyzes the notifications of each web page. Those that send us notifications in an abusive way will be blocked automatically, without us having to do anything.
This blocking is not permanent, since it will simply keep the website until we decide that it is okay for us to continue sending this volume of notifications. In addition to mobile, this system will also be present in PC browsers.
As we have mentioned, the Chromium news will reach Google Chrome, but also browsers such as the Internet from Samsung, Brave or Vivaldi, among many others.
The entry Your mobile browser will block the most abusive notifications automatically appears first in The Free Android.
