WhatsApp has never positioned itself as an application that allows us to carry out a great personalization of chats, despite which it has positioned itself as the most important instant messaging app in countries such as Spain or India.
Despite that, little by little the developers are allowing some new features and this time it is the turn of the personalized wallpapers.
For a long time WhatsApp has allowed us to modify the background of our conversations, being able to place one of the predefined ones or any image we have on our mobile.
Today, a simple novelty that allows a lot of customization begins to arrive in the beta of this update: personalized backgrounds. It was known that the company had been working on it for months, but until now it has not been possible to start testing.
Users who have the trial version (you can sign up at this link) will be able to put a different background for each of the chats they have open.
The process is exactly the same, only that the application will ask us if we want the new background to be applied to all chats, as it happened until now, or only to one in particular.
As an addition, we can make the peculiar pattern that we see in the default wallpaper can be applied to any background. It is what the application calls WhatsApp Doodles, and if we want it, we simply have to check the box when we apply the wallpaper.
This new feature is reaching beta users but not in a general way, so it may take a few hours or a few days to have it even though we have signed up for the trial program.
The entry You can now put a different background in each chat in WhatsApp Beta appears first in The Free Android.
