You can now play Shazam songs on YouTube Music: how to do it

Shazam is an application known to millions of users in Spain, thanks to which we can recognize songs that are playing at that time, even in our applications or even through headphones. When we use it to recognize a song, that song becomes part of our music library and we can play it from other apps.

Until now, Shazam allowed us to open recognized songs in applications such as Apple Music or Spotify, but now a new application is added to that list. Since users they will also be able to use YouTube Music to play those songs that you have previously identified.

Shazam integrates with YouTube Music

There are times when you want to be able play the entirety of any song you have identified through Shazam. From the app you can open these songs in applications to play music, making this process faster, avoiding having to open another application and then search for the name and artist of that song. Until now, Apple Music and Spotify could be used to do this. A new app joins the list.

Since YouTube Music also reaches this list, taking another step to gain presence on Android. Especially before the closure of Google Play Music, this application is Google’s app for streaming music. So small gestures like this help increase its visibility and use among Android users. To open songs in YouTube Music, you have to follow these steps:

1. Open Shazam on your phone.
2. Click on Library.
3. Enter the song you want.
4. Click on the icon with the three vertical dots located at the bottom of the screen.
5. Select Open in YouTube Music.
6. Click on the song to start playing it.

If YouTube Music is the application that do you use to listen to music or where you have your playlists, this function will allow you to open those songs that you have identified thanks to Shazam in a simple way and thus listen to them in their entirety or be able to add them to your playlists. This function can be used already in the application on Android.
