Windows 11 is now available for testing on the computers that want it. The day set for its launch was today, October 5thbut since last night Microsoft has started to launch it in different markets and as usual with Microsoft updates, it will do it progressively.

A process that can take months
Windows 11 was introduced before the summer as a big bet from Microsoft. A version of Windows that arrives with important aesthetic changes, at least as far as the first sight is concerned. A new Microsoft store arrives that, as we have seen, introduces third-party stores, redesigned applications such as cutout or “Your telephone”, a new “Photos” app as well as “Clock” and the function “Concentration sessions” to cite a few examples.
The visual changes are made evident by having a softer design in which transparencies abound and where highlights a true dark mode throughout the operating system. We also have a new iconography with a new logo and new icons for apps and folders.
A version of Windows that, however, as a counterpoint, has seen how lose some classic functions and where the taskbar has lost some of its potential not being able to move, resize or work on it with shortcuts. In addition, one of the great bets such as be able to use Android apps still not available.
And having said all this, the good and the less good that comes with Windows 11, if you have a PC with Windows 10 and an official license, you can already try if you have the download available in “Windows Update”. In this sense, Microsoft indicates that recently purchased Windows 10 devices that are eligible for the upgrade will be able to upgrade from today. The rest will have to wait, although according to Microsoft, they expect that “all eligible Windows 10 devices will be offered the upgrade to Windows 11 by mid-2022.” That is, they wait a few months until all computers can be updated.
