Wireless charging isn’t a new feature, but it hasn’t become acceptably popular until recently. In recent years some brands have opted for it, although only in the high range.
Xiaomi is one of those that is betting the most, with innovations such as the 50W load that the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra has. We know that the firm is experimenting with much faster wireless charging, but for now it seems that it is not leaving its laboratories.
Now the company has advanced the launch of a new technology that, from the published image, looks like a new wireless charging system.
It is possible that this new function will arrive shortly, perhaps with the presentation of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro and Ultra, if they finally arrive together with MIUi 12.5. However, other rumors speak of a slightly later presentation, on February 12.
In fact, according to the XiaomiUI Telegram group, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro would be one of the first models to use this charging speed, from which the promotional logo has already been leaked.
At the moment we do not know if it is the same 80W technology but limited by software to avoid overheating or a different one.
What seems clear is that Xiaomi is betting very strongly on wireless charging and, taking into account that today Huawei cannot compete in Europe on equal terms, and that OPPO and Vivo do not see an advantage in this type of charging, the company may position itself as one of the benchmarks in this field.
The entry Xiaomi will break records with its new 67 W wireless charging appears first in The Free Android.
