Xiaomi Redmi Note 9T: the new Redmi member arrives with 5G connectivity and a generous battery

Xiaomi has just made the Redmi Note 9T official, a new member of the already extensive Redmi Note 9 range. In this case, the company is committed to a model with 5G connectivity and slight design improvements, apart from renewed hardware.

So let’s see what they are the price and specifications of this new Redmi Note 9T, a model that comes to try to conquer the mid-range and that will find rivals within the brand itself.

Onboard MediaTek processor

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9T comes from the hand of a MediaTek Dimensity 800U, the 5G mid-range platform of the Chinese company. This processor is accompanied by 4 GB of RAM and configurations of between 64 and 128 GB of internal memory. There is no possibility of uploading up to 6 GB of RAM, decision that collides in a terminal that comes to conquer the mid-range.

The Redmi Note 9T bets on the LCD and a conservative refresh rate. It maintains the hole in the screen of its brothers in the Redmi Note family

The screen is LCD, with 6.53 inches and a refresh rate of 60Hz, far from the 120Hz of some of its brothers. The battery, as in practically all Xiaomi, is quite generous, with 5,000mAh and fast charging of 18W. Xiaomi promises that this battery will endure many cycles, in view of its longer useful life.

Finally, it should be noted that this terminal has 5G connectivity both SA and NSA, as well as USB C, NFC, infrared and the possibility of Dual SIM.

Less photographic versatility

Giving up the telephoto lens is common in the mid-range, but the Redmi Note 9T also forgo the ultra wide angle. In this case we find a 48 megapixel main sensor, a 2 megapixel macro and a depth sensor with another two megapixels. Regarding the front camera, we find a single 13 megapixel sensor.

In this model the front camera is perforated, so we did not find notch of any kind. The photographic versatility of its siblings in this price range will be missed, as they all have an ultra wide angle.
