In recent months it seems that we are seeing a strong transformation in Xiaomi, which is positioning itself as an innovative company. The Chinese company has always tried to attract users with its value for money, but it seems that its future tries to go the other way.

We recently talked about its revolutionary wireless charging, something that we do not know when we will be able to use it in Spain or in other markets in a massive way.

Now the company has presented a new product, a conceptual mobile that boasts of having four curvatures on the sides of the screen … and no port.

A Xiaomi that we would like to see in reality

It must be made clear that the company has said that this mobile is conceptual, so at the moment there are no plans to make it real. It is something similar to what we saw with the original Xiaomi Mi MIX, but more risky.

As you can see in the image, this device has four very accentuated curvatures on the edges of the screen. Contrary to what we saw in the Honor Magic first and the P40s later, it is not the glass only that curves, but the entire internal screen.

This is made possible by the new folding panels, although it is striking that it has been avoided in the corners, where the folds make it complex. This would bring the design closer to a real production.

In the conceptual video we see the mobile in motion, although it is obviously a computer-created design.

Xiaomi has not announced any type of intention to market this terminal, much less a date not even estimated. It looks like an evolution of the Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha, which we have not known about for a long time.

A side effect of this design is that the sides do not allow the implementation of ports or buttons. The on / off buttons, infrared blaster, charging port, speakers, and SIM slot would be lost.

All this is replaceable through virtual buttons, wireless charging, speakers under the screen or an eSIM. Still, there are too many changes to execute all at once.

Hopefully Xiaomi will give us more information soon, perhaps at the presentation event of the new Xiaomi Mi 11.

The entry Xiaomi presents in video its first conceptual mobile without ports appears first in The Free Android.
