At the beginning of the year, Xiaomi presented the Xiaomi Mi Watch Color, a new smartwatch that focused on offering health-related functions at a very reasonable price. Today the company has presented a version of it focused on sports.
The new Xiaomi Mi Watch Color Sports Edition is a variant of the original model that changes, above all, in two aspects.
On the one hand, it includes the measurement of blood oxygen saturation, something that we have already seen in many models and that recently has even reached the Apple Watch.
Further, the list of compatible sports is expanded with the clock data log. 117 modes are reached.
And the customization expands, too, with 120 skins available at launch, some of them designed for exercise.
GPS has also improved so that it records our races more precisely and incorporates NFC for mobile payments, even if we do not have a complete operating system that allows us to install applications.
The positive part of this is that the battery promises no less than half a month of continuous use, although as always happens in these cases it depends on what we do since the GPS consumes a lot of energy and using it continuously guarantees us not even reach the week of use. On the other hand, if we don’t use it excessively, we can go beyond those promised 15 days.
The Xiaomi Mi Watch Color Sports Edition goes on sale in China at a price of 699 yuan, about 90 euros. It can be purchased from November 1, but if you reserve it, the price drops to 649 yuan, which is about 82 euros.
The entry Xiaomi Mi Watch Color Sports Edition: new watch with new functions appears first in The Free Android.
