Xiaomi and Apple are the most desired brands in Spain

Although smartphone launches often target specific markets, brands typically have global ambition. Each country has its own idiosyncrasy and firms such as Samsung have had great importance in Spain.

However, in recent years the preferences of Spaniards have become somewhat polarized and now we have two very different brands among the most desired, according to the latest Idealo report.

The Spanish want mobile phones from Apple and Xiaomi

According to data from the Idealo price comparison, the two brands that arouse the most interest are Apple and Xiaomi, each for different reasons.

In addition, depending on the area of ​​the country, each of these two brands has a greater reach than the other, although they do not fall below second place.

Not surprisingly, these searches show the interest of the buyers, but they are not the final sales figures. We know that Apple does not have a large market share in our country.

The most popular models are iPhone 11 and Redmi Note 8. It is curious that both are low-cost models in the catalog of each manufacturer, although the first costs almost three times what the second.

Samsung is the third in relevance

After these two firms, the South Korean Samsung is the one that arouses the most interest and it is not strange since the best-selling mobile last year was from this manufacturer.

Although the average price of each mobile phone was rising in Spain, the economic crisis that will leave the coronavirus pandemic seems to again stagnate costs and Spaniards will continue to bet mostly on mobiles of just over 200 euros.
