Windows 10 21H2 will be called Windows 10 November 2021 Update and the ISO for clean installations is now downloadable

With the arrival of Windows 11, almost all eyes have turned to focus on the new operating system and it seems that Windows 10 is history when it still has support until 2025. And following with the marked roadmap, Microsoft has announced the name of the fall update which will be renamed Windows 10 November 2021 Update or what is the same, Windows21H2. An update to which you can already access via ISO.

Through a publication in the official blog of the company they announce that build 19044.1288 will be the final build for the November 2021 update. Windows 10, branch 21H2 will be offered as an optional update on Windows Update.

ISO download for clean installations

After passing through the Beta and Release Preview development channels through the “search engine” in Windows Update, as well as those who, because they did not meet the requirements, could not continue in Windows 11, the turn of the rest of the users is approaching. While, only insiders can download the ISO.

Until now, Windows 10 Insiders on version 21H1 (or lower) in the preview channel had access to the 21H2 branch if they went the route “Setting” > “Update and security” > “Windows Update” and choose to download and install Windows 10, version 21H2.

For all those who have not been able to try it, now they can do it by clean install via ISO and build 19044.1288.

As for the news and improvements, the Windows 10 November 2021 update is above all aimed at companies that cannot or do not want to make the leap to Windows 11. An update that does not present almost new features. This is the complete changelog:

• Support for WPA3 H2E standards is added to enhance Wi-Fi security.
• Windows Hello for Business now supports simplified passwordless deployment models to improve usage times.
• GPU computing support in Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) and Azure IoT Edge for Linux on Windows (EFLOW) deployments for machine learning and other processing-intensive workflows

For now Microsoft has not confirmed an official date to begin the distribution of Windows 10 November 2021 Update, but with that name it is clear that it cannot take long to start the deployment if they do not want to change from November to December.
