A few hours ago Google made official Android 12, the version of the system that corresponds to this year 2021. At the moment it is simply a version for developers, but we have already tested it.
In this article that we will update in the coming days we will show you all the new functions that this version brings.
If you want to know how to update to this version, we recommend that you see the article that we have prepared for it.
The first thing that stands out is the redesign of the settings, with a visual modification in some elements, such as in the upper search bar, which now has the icon of our avatar outside the text box.
But the most striking thing is that we can activate in the development settings an option that completely modifies the aesthetics, making it more like One UI or Oxygen OS 11.
It is done with the command adb shell settings put global settings_silky_home true.
After a long time waiting, Google has implemented the elongated screenshot, although by default it is active since it still does not work well.
Scrolling screenshots are still a bit janky / broken, but it actually works! (It’s not enabled by default so you won’t see it when you update.) pic.twitter.com/7ih2zQgvZk

It can be activated by ADB but it is very unstable even to speak of a development version.
In addition to being able to write and highlight areas with a pencil, we can put emoticons in the screenshots, directly.
One of the most anticipated functions was to be able to send a Wi-Fi connection that we had saved on the mobile to another terminal, without having to type passwords. Now this is possible.
To verify that it is us, we will be asked for the PIN or fingerprint if we have it configured on the mobile.
This function is available only on the Pixel 5, and it would let us configure a shortcut by double-tapping the back with the index finger. However, it still doesn’t work.
When it does, we can choose between taking a screenshot, stopping the music, opening multitasking or notifications.
Android 11 introduced a new collapsible multimedia control widget, which allowed several apps to be unified in one place. That continues but now we can choose which apps will appear in that place, in addition to linking new bluetooth devices from there.
Now each notification will have a dedicated button to postpone it for a while, instead of having to search for the settings by sliding as happened in Android 11.
Although these options are not active by default, Android 2 will allow us to block the access of all apps to the microphone and the camera using two buttons in the settings that we have in the notification curtain.
