The fever for smart watches is now beginning to reach sectors that had not been over-exploited, such as children. Vodafone has presented Vodafone Neo, a new smart watch in which Disney herself has collaborated by contributing her famous characters.
Children’s design with advanced features
One of the most striking features of the watch is its design, designed directly for the little ones. The screen can be personalized with six Disney characters: Buzz Lighyear, Darth Vader, Elsa, Baby Yoda, Minnie and Iron Man.
The watch allows making calls to the numbers we configure in the application that is installed on the parents’ phone.
It is also possible see the child’s location using the father’s phone, although he can not track, only punctually see where he is.
Among the available applications is one of climatology, a calculator and a calendar, where parents can write down pending tasks.
Specifications are the least of it
In a watch of this type, the figures on the specification sheet are not the most relevant. It has a 470 mAh battery, the Snapdragon 2500W processor, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory.
The Vodafone Neo has a 1.2-inch screen and AMOLED technology and a 5-megapixel camera for taking photos.
A watch with a monthly fee
This new Vodafone watch comes with an integrated SIM that gives it connectivity to receive messages from the parents’ phone, for example.
This makes Vodafone launch it with a monthly payment service. In the United Kingdom, one of the three countries where it will be launched in early 2021 (together with Spain and Germany) the price is 12 pounds per month for 12 months, or 7 per month for two years, in both cases with a payment initial 99 lbs.
