Vivo was preparing to enter the market in Spain in April this year, but the situation caused by COVID-19 delayed the manufacturer’s plans. After several months without news, it was confirmed that it was October when the brand planned to enter the Spanish market and that moment has already arrived, with its first phone, the Vivo X51.

The Vivo X51 is a phone within the high range of the brand, which partly follows in the wake of its X50 and X50 Pro, thanks to the use of the gimbal camera in it. The firm leaves us with a powerful phone, perfect for gaming and that also has 5G connectivity.

The gimbal camera arrives in Spain

Vivo X51 cameras

The Vivo X50 Pro presented in summer became the first phone to introduce a gimbal camera, designed to provide stabilization to photos and videos, since it emulates sports cameras, thus obtaining a better recording. The Vivo X51 inherits this gimbal camera in its four-chamber module. As you could already see in the X50 Pro, this module is somewhat larger, since it needs space for that sensor.

Vivo X51 camera gimbal structure

The manufacturer has chosen a combination of 48MP main sensor, with OIS and gimbal, for more stable photos and videos. Along with this sensor we have a 13-megapixel sensor with two-magnification optical zoom, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and a fourth 8-megapixel sensor with five-magnification optical zoom and 60x Hyper Zoom. A powerful combination, to which we must add a 32 Mpx front camera, located in the perforation of the screen.

The gimbal camera with OIS will allow for more stable videos, both day and night. The phone is capable of record 4K video at 60 fps, in order to get the most out of this camera.

Further, in this Vivo X51 we find various camera modes, in order to obtain the best possible images. These include: Super Night Mode, 3D Stabilization, Astronomical Mode, Professional Sports Mode, Portrait, Slow Motion, Super Moon Mode, Panorama, Professional Mode and many more.

5G, perfect for gaming and great battery

Vivo X51 screen

The Vivo X51 is within the high range thanks to the use of Snapdragon 765G Qualcomm as a processor. A chip that gives it good performance, in addition to 5G connectivity. We have seen this chip in many models this year and it gives good results, so this phone is going to give a great performance, as well as being a good option to play.

The fact that this model will be a good option in the gaming segment is something that we can also see on its screen. It comes with a 6.56-inch AMOLED panel, with slightly curved corners and a perforation in it. Further, this panel has a refresh rate of 90 Hz and a 180 Hz tactile response, so it will provide us with a good experience when playing games, also in games that demand more performance from the phone.

The battery of this Vivo X51 has a capacity of 4,315 mAh, which will provide good autonomy in combination with its processor. This will allow long games of play without interruptions. In addition, it comes with support for the 33W fast charge, which will help to always have a good percentage available when necessary.

Android 10 is the standard operating system on the phone, along with FunTouch OS 10 as a customization layer on it. The phone comes with a fingerprint sensor under the screen, thanks to the use of an AMOLED panel in it.
