The idea is that in addition to using this filter and thus transform yourself into a work of art directly, also go learn more about the history and context of those works. Before using the filter, Google Arts & Culture has a screen with information about the artwork in question that you are going to use. So it will help you to know more about how this painting was created.

To develop this function, the firm’s team has worked with artificial intelligence principles, with security and privacy as the main aspect that has been taken into account in it. Thanks to the use of augmented reality, the objects in these paintings are allowed to be placed naturally on your head or to react to your facial expression, for example. To use this feature, you have to follow these steps:

1. Open Google Arts & Culture on your phone.
2. Tap on the rainbow camera icon at the bottom of the screen.
3. Select Art Filter.
4. You accept.
5. Select the filter you want to use.
6. Click on Apply filter.

If the filter you have used you like, the application gives you the ability to share those pictures or videos captured with friends. So you can share your transformation into a work of art with anyone. You can now try these filters in the new version of the app, available now in the Play Store:
