The augmented reality allows us to use the camera on our mobile phone to place virtual objects in the real world. One of the best uses of augmented reality these days is the use of the camera of our mobile phones to record videos with animals 3D in our room, but this technology has many more uses. Today we teach you to turn your living room or bedroom, in a virtual museum.

Google Arts & Culture: a virtual museum in your living room

Google Arts & Culture is not a new application, but if that is a feature of augmented reality is very useful in these days that we are home. This function is directly nothing more we open the app and it is a way to turn our house into a museum.

The first of the functions is called Art Projector: Using the augmented reality technology of Google, and with sufficient lighting, Google Arts & Culture will detect the platforms flat like a floor where you can place the works of art. Then we’ll only have to drag from the screen of our mobile phone and let it go.

Once that is done, the work of art will be magically anchored to the position that you have marked. We will be able to get closer, to move away or to move around the box that will continue where we left off. And even take a picture with the box in our own home.

Beyond boxes, we can also explore some important galleries in the history of mankind in Pocket Galleryfrom the Cave of Chauvet to museums more comtemporáneos. And as with the boxes, will be able to move freely at any angle.

Need Google Play Services for augmented reality: how to install it

As the application of the animals in 3D, Google Arts & Culture requires that we have ARCore, a service that is recently known as the Services of Google Play for augmented reality.

Usually Google has a list of certified devices for augmented reality, and if your device is in the list (link here) surely the application already works without doing anything (or by installing the service from the Google Play Store).

If our mobile is not compatible, they will appear in grey, it means that our mobile is not compatible with the augmented reality of Google. Does this mean that we will not be able to enjoy the application? Because it can be a sign, but we still have a hope to make it work.

If we install the APK file of Google Play Services for AR from websites like APKMirror we can prepare our mobile. To be a non-certified device may be the case that even if we install the application, our phone does not get to use the augmented reality, but again, we lose nothing.

The entrance to turn your home into a virtual museum: this Google application is a great first appears in The Android Free.
