A week ago we learned that WhatsApp had been working well ahead to implement a highly demanded function among its users, that of being able to speed up the playback of voice notes.
This is something that is already possible thanks to third-party applications that we can download for free, but including natively would be a great success.
We now have more information on how this feature will work. According to WABetaInfo, the option to accelerate the audios will have three different modes depending on the speed we want.
Of course, being one of those 1x speeds, that is, the normal speed, the reality is that we can accelerate it through two options, one that will put it at 1.5x and the other that will go to 2x, allowing us to listen to the audios in half the time .
In these audios a blue element will appear with the white text of the chosen speed. Surely we can change this in the settings for all voice notes, but not select it in each of them.
There are no faster options because the difficulty of understanding would surely be seriously impaired in some cases.
This feature is not yet active but its code has been seen in beta version 2.21.6.11. It is expected to hit the beta versions of iOS and Android in the coming weeks.
The entry Three playback speeds: this will be the new WhatsApp function appears first in The Free Android.
