Samsung will present its next high-end in February of next year, the phones that will take the witness of the Galaxy S20 in Spain. Little by little, details about this new range of phones begin to leak, as now with the Galaxy S21 Ultra, which will be the most advanced model in that range of Samsung phones.
The details on the cameras of the Galaxy S21 Ultra. A leak that is added to the one we had a few weeks ago, which reported the changes in this range, both due to the new sensor and the elimination of the ToF sensor in this range of phones.
Samsung will change the cameras of the Galaxy S21: goodbye to the ToF sensorThe Samsung Galaxy S21 will have an important change in their cameras, since the brand is going to eliminate the ToF sensor from them.
This leak confirms the absence of the ToF sensor in the Galaxy S21 Ultra. Instead, the brand would introduce two telephoto sensors in this new high-end. They would leave us with a 12 Mpx wide angle, along with a 108 Mpx ultra wide angle, a telephoto lens that would have a triple optical zoom of 10 Mpx and a telephoto lens with a periscope optical zoom, which would have five increases. For the front camera a 40 Mpx sensor would be used.
The introduction of two telephoto sensors is the big news in this case, as Samsung would keep the 12MP wide angle and 40MP front camera from this year on the phones. The combination of these sensors seeks to improve the optical zoom, the amount of increases in said phone. Already by applying two telephoto lenses with optical zoom, better photos can be taken zooming without loss of quality.
The other two phones in this range are expected to feature the same cameras, while the Galaxy S21 Ultra will be the only one with differences. No big changes are expected from this year’s cameras, at least in terms of more pixels, but improvements are expected such as Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). So the cameras should provide a better user experience in this new generation. Also, this Ultra model would have S-Pen support as well.
We will have to wait until February 2021 to see the new Samsung Galaxy S21. At least it seems clear that the Korean firm has permanently eliminated the ToF sensor, which was already missing from the Galaxy Note 20 this August.
The entry So will the cameras of the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra appears first in The Free Android.
