Samsung is the only brand, among the large mobile manufacturers, that continues to bet on creating a line of ultra-resistant mobile phones, the so-called Rugged phones. In the case of the South Korean, that family is called Galaxy XCover.
Today we have seen for the first time the new member of the same, the Samsung Galaxy XCover 5, thanks to a leak from Evan Blass.
Unlike other models in this same category, such as the Galaxy XCover Pro, this terminal will not have physical buttons on the front. The Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 offers a more polished design, where although resistance prevails over beauty, an effort has been made to update the design.
In the image we see a red button on the left side, which is added to the two normal ones, volume and power, that we have on the right side.
The screen will be quite
tight in size and resolution, with a 5.3-inch panel and HD + resolution of 1600 x 900 px. It will have 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory and it is speculated that it will use a Exynos 850 as processor and Android 11 as operating system.
The rear camera will be 16 Mpx and the front 5 Mpx. It is clear that there are no shows of any kind here.
It is striking that the battery is only 3000 mAh, although at least it has a USB C port and 15W fast charging.
For now we do not know more about this ultra-resistant mobile, but it is possible that it will be announced in a few weeks since the published image is an official image, not a render based on information.
The entry This is Samsung’s new ultra-resistant mobile appears first in The Free Android.
