This is how one of our favorite music apps has improved by switching to Kotlin

Although music streaming services have a great presence in Spain, there are still many users who enjoy their own music libraries, through which we can often enjoy higher sound quality and the possibility of using a greater variety of applications from third parties.

Among those available for Android, Shuttle + is my choice as a music application, as I said the last time I spoke about my main mobile. This application has just been rewritten from scratch in the creation of Shuttle 2, a development whose creator leaves us great lessons on the importance of adapting your developments to new technologies.

The developer of one of our favorite music applications has left his impressions on the change to Kotlin, and that is that the new version of Shuttle has been rewritten from scratch using this programming language.

The developer’s impressions are very positive, and the use of this more modern language has allowed him to create an applicationwhich is much faster and more stable, despite being still in beta. It has also replaced Android media libraries with much more reliable folder-specific file scanning.

Although the application is in beta and may still contain bugs, Shuttle 2 is an improvement on an application that we already loved and that we recommend you try if you are looking for a good music application. Among its features, its developer highlights the following:
