And it is that TbVolScroll what it allows is that we can use the mouse wheel to increase or decrease the volume when we hover over the volume control. An action similar to that offered by Linux and that allows us to forget about having to interact with the PC keys.

TbVolScroll is a free and open source application that can be downloaded from this Github link So what also does not require installation. A tool that allows us to raise or lower the volume simply by using the mouse wheel and thus not having to depend on the scroll bar or the volume keys.

Once TbVolScroll is downloaded, just double click on the executable to start using it. Windows Defender may launch a warning when trying to run the application and at that point we just have to dismiss the message.

The only thing it does is enable the volume control through the mouse wheel when we place the pointer on the taskbar. The volume will grow or fall in values ​​of 5%.

We will notice that the tool is in use as we will see a TbVolScroll icon in the notification area of ​​the taskbar. As long as it’s active We can raise or lower the volume in Windows by scrolling when the mouse pointer is over the taskbar. In addition, if we press the ALT key at the same time as we move the mouse wheel, we will raise or lower the volume with changes of 1% and therefore with more precision.

What’s more we have access to a number of settings that allow changing the parameters seen before, but also the appearance of the bar that appears on the screen when we raise or lower the volume.
