When a new trend begins to gain traction in a sector such as mobile telephony, it is very likely that many of the main brands will be seen to follow it. This is what we are seeing with folding mobiles, which although they are not a massive or economical alternative, it seems that they will not follow the path of other experiments such as mobiles with 3D screens.
For a few weeks it has been rumored that even Google is developing a Pixel with a flexible screen that allows it to show its vision of Android in these types of products, before it becomes something massive.
The designer Waqar Khan wanted to imagine what a Pixel could be like with this format, and has published it on his YouTube channel.

As you can see, it is a version of a fairly standard folding mobile but with the touches of Google.
A year ago we wondered if it would be Samsung or Huawei which would take the lead with the form factor. After the presentation of the Mate X2 we know that it was the first, and Khan takes that basis for his concept.
Unlike the real models, the folding Pixel would have a more youthful aesthetic, in line with what we see in the Pixel 5, even keeping the fingerprint sensor behind. This is not crazy since closed it would be used the same and when opening it we could be able to the index of the right hand on the sensor.
In this render we see that the Pixel 5 camera module is maintained, something that might not be the case in the mobile that Google is preparing, but that is not out of place either.
Obviously, there is nothing even remotely official in this design, but it makes us wonder how a Google folding terminal could be if the design lines are maintained with respect to what we have seen in the last generations of Pixel.
The entry This concept shows in video how Google’s folding mobile could be appears first in The Free Android.
