One UI 3 is the new version of the interface of Samsung mobiles, based on Android 11. These weeks the brand is launching the update for some of its phones, such as the Galaxy S20, which will soon arrive in Spain. The manufacturer itself now announces all the news that can be expected in this new version of its interface.

A little over a month ago own Samsung announced One UI 3 based on Android 11 and some first details could be known. Now they leave us with all the changes that the Galaxy phones that are going to get this update can expect. A period of updates that begins now and that will expand over the next few months.

Renewed design

One of the main changes that leave us with One UI 3 it is a new design in its interface. Samsung is committed to a design that is more elegant, but also simpler and more intuitive. We can see that there are changes in some of the functions most used by those with a Galaxy mobile, such as the home screen, notifications and more.

Items such as the home screen or notifications are enhanced to highlight the most relevant information. In addition, new visual effects are introduced, such as Darken / Blur for notifications, which will allow everything to be better organized and that the information that really matters is always accessible. This is also possible with a redesigned widget that helps you keep your device’s home screen organized.

Samsung also update motion and animation effects in One UI 3. It is committed to smoother effects, which allow better navigation on the phone. The buttons slide more smoothly, the keystrokes are more realistic and the experience of switching devices will also be more fluid and natural.

Functions to use your Galaxy mobile better

Samsung’s One UI 3 seeks to make mobile use as comfortable as possible for users. Notifications from messaging apps are grouped so that the user can reply and read your messages quickly. The lock screen widgets have been redesigned and will allow you to view calendar events or routines, as well as control music, without having to unlock the phone. In addition, it notifies them

Video calls are something especially relevant today. Samsung updates full-screen video calling design, to create a new communication experience that makes it seem like you are closer to the people you are talking to.

Camera performance is also improved introducing improvements in AI-based zoom, and autofocus and auto exposure, for better photos. Changes are also coming to the Gallery with the introduction of organization categories, which makes it possible to find photos more quickly. Swiping your finger across the screen while viewing photos will highlight related photos. Furthermore, edited photos can revert to their original format as well, even after being saved.

Personalization

Personalization has always played an important role in Samsung’s interface, something that is still present in One UI 3. In this new version the user will be able to place widgets on the home screen, being able to adjust its transparency so that they integrate with the wallpaper. New options are also given to customize the design and format of the clock in Always On Display. Plus, a video can now be added to the call screen for a more personal experience.

The wellness apps are also renewed on the phone, in order to help monitor and improve digital habits. Access to information on the use of applications is faster and will also show weekly changes in the time of use of the screen, for example.

One UI 3 availability

The entire Galaxy S20 (S20, S20 Plus and S20 Ultra) are already updating to One UI 3 in Europe and this month it will also reach users in Spain. In the coming weeks the same will also be deployed for the Galaxy Note20, Z Fold2, Z Flip, Note10, Fold and the S10 range.

From January 2021 it will be the models of the Galaxy A and Galaxy M range that have access, which is expected to be completed before the end of the first half of the year. Surely the leaked roadmap a couple of weeks ago was followed.
