These are the eight classic Windows features that have been missed when moving from Windows 10 to Windows 11

The arrival of Windows 11 It has been quite an event, especially because a few weeks ago we all associated the 21H2 branch with a new Windows 10 update. A Windows 11 that arrives with a good number of changes, both positive and not so much others, mainly due to the absence that users are missing.

And it is that in Windows 11 we find next to new functions, absences in the form of functionalities that until now had been in regular use or at least, quite well known. We do not know if in future updates Microsoft will end up returning them to Windows 11, but just in case, we are going to review some of these absences, functions that some users have begun to list in a thread of Reddit.

Windows 11 is not yet a widely used version of Microsoft’s operating system. First, because, although it works really well, it is a version that is still in development, let’s not forget.

As well as it works, Windows 11 is a beta that also requires a very concrete hardware. That is why these absences that we will now review, have gone more unnoticed by not affecting so many users.

  • The ability to open a file by dragging it to the taskbar with any of the applications attached to it.

  • The capacity of move the taskbar to the other side of the screen, since now it must remain fixed in the lower zone. We cannot carry to the sides or to the top.

  • We can only combine windows of the same application when the taskbar is full.

  • Facilitate organization in the Start Menu by having folders.

  • The ability to permanently remove the “Recommended” section from the Windows Start menu, being able to dedicate all that white space to the pinned applications.

  • How to determine which default application to use, a different process in Windows 11. For example, instead of changing the web browser, we have to change, element by element, which applications are run to open the * .HTM, * .HTML files, the HTTPS protocol, the HTTP , etc.

  • Support offline accounts (that is, not linked to an Outlook.com account) in Windows 11 Home.

  • Access the list of connection to Bluetooth devices just pressing Windows + K (the path to this function in Windows 11 is much more devious).

For now, these are some of the most striking functions that are still missing in the jump from Windows 10 to Windows 11. Will Microsoft rectify with the release of the final version of Windows 11? For now we do not know and the chances of us seeing that vary a lot in each case, so we have no choice but to wait patiently.
