The Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite smartwatch has passed through the American FCC certification, after doing the same for other Chinese certifications, although there under the name of Redmi. Thanks to these certifications, we have supposed photos of its packaging, where we can see its general appearance and some of its specifications.
Interestingly, the Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite would have a rectangular screen, in contrast to the Xiaomi Mi Watch, whose screen is circular. The back of its box, photographed by the FCC, shows several of its characteristics, such as the GPS, 1.41 inch screen or the 230 mAh battery.
The most curious thing about the matter is that at the moment neither Xiaomi nor Redmi have commented on this new smartwatch, despite the fact that it seems to be ready to go on sale, having passed through the various certifying entities. In the FCC we can see it under the name Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite, although the same box shows that the model name REDMIWT02, hinting that it could be signed by Redmi in other markets, such as China.
Denominations aside, the appearance of the Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite is different from other smartwatches in the house, standing out for its rectangular body like the Amazfit GTS. Thanks to the FCC, we know you would have a 1.41 inch HD screen, with support for automatic brightness.
Other details that come to light thanks to this filtration is the GPS presence, which is appreciated considering that it is a “Lite” version, the resistance to 50 meters of depth with support for swimming recognition, and the continuous monitoring of the pulse.
Finally, it is established that the battery would be 230 mAh, quite lower than the 420 mAh of the normal Xiaomi Mi Watch, and the foreseeable support for Android 4.4 and iOS 10 or higher, in addition to being prepared to work in temperatures of 0 to 35 degrees.
At the moment we do not know more about this possible cheap Xiaomi smartwatch, although considering that it has already passed through several certifications, it would not be unreasonable to think that your launch was just around the corner, either under the name of Xiaomi or Redmi.
