The Xiaomi Mi Box 3 has been with us for a few years, quite a popular and capable device that has Android TV. Thanks to this inexpensive device we can enjoy this interface on our television, even if it is not the latest generation. Last August the Mi Box 3 started receiving the beta of Android 9 Pie, and a little over a month later stable version begins to arrive.
The Xiaomi Mi Box 3 it is being updated to Android Pie stably, as reported from XDA Developers. The update occupies 650 megabytes and promises performance and security improvements, thanks to a better detection system malware. Specifically, it includes the July 2020 security patches.
Apart from this, there is a new design for the settings menu, a new power menu and a less intrusive volume interface. The Amazon Prime Video app is now pre-installed by default and there are some changes in the recommendations section of the Mi Box 3.
Here it should be remembered that the Xiaomi Mi Box 3 has a quad-core Amlogic SoC, a Mali 450 GPU and 2 GB of RAM, so there should be no problems on paper to move the new version of the operating system. It will still be capable of playing videos at a maximum resolution of 4K and being compatible with Dolby Digital Plus audio. If you want to download manually, you can download the ROM officer to skip the wait.
