Mobvoi, who back in 2017 was raising funds on Kickstarter for the creation of TicWatch S&E, has launched so far this year several smartwatches equipped with Wear OS, among which the TicWatch Pro 2020, announced in January, and the TicWatch C2 +, presented at the end of June.
Now it comes back with a new model that the company itself classifies as “affordable”, since its price does not exceed 60 euros. In return, the TicWatch GTX It offers you 24/7 heart monitoring, sleep tracking and 14 training modes, as well as IP68 resistance certification and an autonomy that can reach 10 days. It was presented in the United States just a month ago, and now, finally, it lands in Spain.
The new TicWatch GTX watch will be available in a single version with a black case and matching 20mm thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) strap. It will go on sale on September 24 at a price of 59.99 euros, but you can already book on the Mobvoi website with a 10% discount (53.99 euros).
The TicWatch GTX watch has several applications to track health, among which the monitoring of heart rate, automatic sleep tracking and activity log (steps, calories, etc.) stand out. Fitness tracking is enabled by 14 training modes, including running, biking, swimming, and yoga, and all data can be consulted through the Mobvoi application or directly on the TicWatch GTX watch.
Being a smart watch, it also has support for incoming calls and messages notification, music control, stopwatch, timer, flashlight and the Find My Phone function. In addition to the four watch faces that come preloaded, it is also possible to personalize the watch with photos stored on the mobile or with any of the 17 additional watch faces that can be downloaded from the Mobvoi app.
According to Mobvoi, the TicWatch GTX’s battery is optimized for greater autonomy, promising up to 10 days of battery life with the energy saving mode activated or up to seven days with regular use. Finally, its IP68 waterproof and sweat proof certification (which makes it suitable for swimming) and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity (yes, it lacks WiFi, NFC and GPS).
