What does it mean if the Radar COVID app code has been released
This movement is not of direct relevance for ordinary citizens but it is very important for researchers and people interested in the behavior of the application.
Since the source code has been freely released, anyone can analyze it to see how this app works. We can not only see what the internal behavior of the application is like, but how it connects to the different servers.
The license with which it has been released is Mozilla Public License 2.0 which means, as explained in Omicrono, that developers could use it for applications with both free code and proprietary code.
In addition, from now on you can review the code to look for potential problems that limit the usability of the application or even prevent it from fulfilling its mission.
Operating in thirteen autonomous communities
At the moment this application is being used in thirteen of the seventeen autonomous communities, although in many of them it is still in the testing phase or in limited areas.
