The PowerToys are updated: they now have a more attractive and functional design inspired by Windows 11

The PowerToys they are news again and they do it thanks to the version 0.45.0 that have just been released. An update that can be accessed directly from the tool and that provides a renewed aesthetic, with clear inspiration in Windows 11, operating system in which they are now more successfully integrated.

An update in which, above all, the change in design is striking, as it is the first to bring Windows 11 aesthetics. In addition, along with this change, it also presents the classic improvements aimed at optimizing operation and improving stability.

Now with a more current aesthetic

The PowerToys They already have version 0.45. You can update them from the same tool in the “Settings” section or if you don’t have them installed, go to Github where you can download the latest version and find out about the news it brings.

The new design, whose comparison you can see in the image above, as we say, takes the PowerToys to a new level. From the aesthetics they had been using, inspired by previous versions of Windows, now they inherit more current forms, with rounded corners, new colors, new panels, icons now renewed with colors … it fits perfectly in Windows 11 although the update can also be applied if you use Windows 10.

If you have not heard of PowerToys until now, we will give you the background. It’s about a added that you took your first steps with Windows 95 and Windows XP but that after a while forgotten, they re-emerged with Windows 10 November 2019 Update. PowerToys are a set of free applications or programs that allow the user to add certain extras to the operating system in the form of new functionalities with which to expand its possibilities.

The PowerToys offer different tools to enhance the usability of the operating system as is the case with FancyZones to create custom grids to stack your windows, PowerToys Run to use as an alternative Windows launcher in the style of macOS Spotlight, add-ons for the file explorer, an add-on to remap buttons … of quite useful options.
