Google still has a long way to go to be able to boast that all, or at least most, Android phones update quickly. Different manufacturers’ strategies and fragmentation do not help, of course, although we are improving.

A few days ago we told you that Vivo had launched the OTA to update several mobiles in Spain, and Samsung had done the same, although only in the high-end range.

This is just what we have seen today with OPPO since its flagship, the OPPO Find X2 Pro, has just been updated to Android 11 in our country.

Color OS 11 comes to the OPPO Find X2 Pro

This update to the OPPO interface was presented a few months ago and at the event they focused a lot on customization. That’s right. OPPO has redesigned the way we can customize the interface, getting closer to what we had in Oxygen OS up to version 10.

In addition, improvements are included such as the Conversations view in the notification curtain, the shortcuts to home automation in the power button, or the better behavior of permissions, especially those related to location.

Despite that, OPPO has decided to keep its Smart Assistant, a section next to the desks that replaces Discover and that, really, does not contribute much. We expected that, as brands such as OnePlus or Realme have done, rectified or at least allowed to choose between the two options, but it has not been the case.

Despite that, the update has notably improved this layer in aesthetics, something that was very much needed, and has included the news of Android 11 that we already knew and that you can see in this video.
